Colony, The Ritz-Carlton Singapore

Indulge yourself in Singaporean heritage cuisine in a European-style setting at Colony, situated inside the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Singapore. To give a little bit of background, Ritz-Carlton’s Millenia’s Greenhouse was all the rage before. It was especially well-known for serving good buffet meals that everyone just can’t get enough of. But this restaurant was shut down and Colony came to replace it. But the patrons of the previous restaurant weren’t left disappointed as the new restaurant Colony offered great food with eight live kitchens. Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian and Western food are all served here in Colony.

Colony, an Asian cuisine jaunt

These are the following food that one should not forget when you go and visit Colony. The seafood on ice bar is definitely something that you do not wish to miss as not many same restaurants offer the same food presentation as Colony does. This seafood on ice bar includes king crabs, scallops and more seafood. There is also a station that serves grilled meats, Asian or Western. There is the sup buntut (an Indonesian oxtail soup) that is seasoned so well, it becomes a party full of tastes inside your mouth. Also, do not forget to try the Iberico suckling pig sprinkled with Balinese spices, the tandoor oven serving freshly made rotis and bread and an Indian station serving prawn kali michi (black pepper), lasooni (garlic lamb steak) and assorted naan bread. Aside from that, there is also a fruit station, a bakery and a patisserie for all of those craving for sweet pastries.

Prices, deals and offers

Breakfast is served during 6:30 AM till 10:30 AM in the mornings. A breakfast meal costs 45 SGD for adults and 22.50 SGD for children ages six-12 years old. Lunch is served from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Lunch in Colony is 58 SGD for adults and 29 SGD for children (six-12 years old) during weekdays. Lunch on Saturdays costs 62 SGD for adults and 31 SGD for children (six-12 years old). Vintage Champagne Brunch on Sundays is only served during Sundays. It is available from 12 PM to 3:30 PM.

It costs 188 SGD for adults. Inclusive of: Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Blanc 2008, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2008, selected cocktails/mocktails, house pour red/white wines, draft beer and soft drinks. It costs 94 SGD per child (six to 12 years of age) and 47 SGD for children three to five years of age. Inclusive of: unlimited soft drinks and fruit flavored sparkling mineral water. Dinner during Sundays to Thursdays is worth 78 SGD for adults and 29 SGD for children six-12 years old. While dinner served during Fridays and Saturdays cost 92 SGD for adults and 46 SGD for children six-12 years of age.
