Like its name suggest, Dancing Crab is a seafood restaurant that prides itself into serving fresh and high-quality seafood, shellfish and rich flavours that will dance on your taste buds. The type of seafood that this restaurant offers is American, specifically Louisiana cuisine and Cajun or also known as Creole dishes. It serves as a stark contrast against what most Singaporeans are used to. The Dancing Crab is owned by Singapore’s oldest restaurant, TungLok Group and truly gives justice to the name of the famous and world-renowned TungLok Group with its high quality food and customer service.
The restaurant boasts about being the American counterpart of the Singaporean restaurant that owns it. Surely, dining inside the Dancing Crab restaurant will take you to the other side of the world to Louisiana with unique flavors and spices. Of course, what kind of restaurant chain would be named ‘Dancing Crab’ if it doesn’t serve crabs? The rave is all about the fatty and huge, upsized crabs that this restaurant offers. Want something out of this world? Order the Alaskan King Crab and some tasty dipping sauce together with it.
Not sure about the Alaskan King Crab and wish to try something a little more oriental? Well, there is also the Sri Lankan Crab that are also huge and extra in sizes as well. These crabs have the great amount of fat and meat to cater for your cravings on every meal. There are also many other dishes that are made of crabs like the crab cake, crab fries and crab fish cake. But aside from the crabs, the Cajun Fries, Truffle fries and other fries served are also everyone’s favourite.
Other seafood dishes that you can try are clams, prawns, fish and chips and also huge lobsters that you’ve never seen before! The sauces are what makes them extra special, however. The best one so far, according to other diners and recommendations is the Dancing Crab’s signature sauce in mid herb and butter. If you want to try something different, though, the restaurant’s second best dipping sauce for your seafood dishes is the grilled butter rolls that you can also try.
Not sure what to get when you get there? Don’t worry, we are here to help you out! Dancing Crab offers combo meals that ranges from $40-$80 per meal. This combo set will already have a little bit of everything in the menu so that you get to taste all the wonderful dishes and phenomenal flavors from their menu. While there are not much special promos in this restaurant, the affordable and reasonable prices of the dishes make up for that! After all, paying around $50-$70 per person is already a good deal considering that you are paying for exquisite and wonderful tastes of Creole or Cajun cuisines and a great service accommodation by the service staff.
There are occasional promo codes posted at Chope’s official website, however, that can get you some bucks off of your dishes. It comes at irregular and infrequent times, though, so make sure you watch out for it! Also, who would say no to amazing décor that makes you relax even more while eating with your family? Dancing Crab eludes an interior design that doesn’t scream modern but the restaurant looks laid-back and somewhere you can enjoy yourself.
