Delicious food served in a lively ambience – that’s what The Courtyard prides itself for. And truly, this pride isn’t just all bark because this is exactly what The Courtyard offers to its customers. You would feel as though you are in a ball held by the kingdom’s palace as you dine in such an exquisite and highly-commendable restaurant. Complete with the live harpists during weekend afternoons and the sound of toe-tapping of the restaurant’s jazz quartets, The Courtyard is a restaurant that not only serves good food, but also offers the atmosphere where everyone will just enjoy.
And to top it all of, while you are enjoying the sounds of loafers clacking against the wooden floors, you may dine on a table and eat Japanese or Indian curry dishes or hold a fancy glass of wine or cocktail, or, better yet, enjoy an afternoon tea while the sounds of harps play in the background.
Although full meals are of course, fulfilling in a way, sometimes, we just want to relax and sit back while we sip the tea from our cups. The Courtyard is especially praised for providing a wonderful atmosphere to have afternoon tea. To accompany the tea, the restaurant also offers lovely treats such as scones, egg tarts, quail egg sandwich, walnut bread, macaroons, Long Johns, etc., and other types of bread that you can just imagine. All pastries served are definitely delicious and are baked to perfection, that’s why every core is soft with every bite. The restaurant also offers Japanese sweets.
But of course, the star of the show is the tea itself. Most tea served are taken from the Shizouka region of Japan and are of exquisite tastes and flavors – definitely nothing like store-bought tea. Aside from that, patrons find themselves revisiting just to get another taste of those delicious Indian and Japanese curries, seasoned with spices native to the area of the origin of the curries. It makes the experience more international. The ambience is also European. As if you are dining at a restaurant on the outskirts of Paris just overlooking a majestic view like the Eiffel Tower. It is truly a wonderful experience that tops people’s bucket list before they die.
